exception Peer An alert is generated whenEqualizer has received a heartbeat from a peer on a
subnet on which it had previously lost contact.

group changes state, the alert will fire on the system on which the alert is
configured.

Alert Notification Types
Currently, the email, syslog, snmp, and ui notification types are supported. Multiple notification types can be
specified for a single alert.
1. email - Sends an email to the specified recipients, using a specified SMTP relay mail server. When this
notification type is used, an email address is also required. A subject line for the email is optional.
2. syslog - Sends an alert message to the system log.
